Smarden History Society
Our next meeting is on Thursday 21st of November when we have a packed evening programme awaiting you. We will begin with our annual review of 2024 when we will bring you up to date with all the Society's news and take a look ahead to our plans for next year.

Then we welcome the ever popular Imogen Corrigan back again for a seasonal talk "The Goose is Getting Fat" about the fascinating origins of our Christmas traditions. Join us at The Charter Hall from 6:45 pm for a 7:30 pm start.

We will also be unveiling our new display in the Hop Pocket, which replaces the medical collection found near "Doctor's Corner" last year. The new display is an interesting variety of items, some of them extremely rare, once belonging to Dick Wyatt, who lived at Hamden Grange, and donated to us by another long time Smarden resident Mike Ashbee.

November is also the time when we invite you to renew your annual membership of the Society. The subscription is £12 per person, payable by cash or card.
